About Paul Martin

Paul Martin is an intervention specialist, educator, speaker, and author working in fear, behaviour, resilience, and decision-making under pressure. He is the creator of STOP Fearing Fear®, a practical behavioural framework designed to help people understand fear more clearly, respond more effectively, and build real resilience in everyday life.
His work has been built through decades of experience across specialist education, crisis intervention, behavioural support, family work, emergency residential care, and outdoor leadership. In these settings, pressure is real, behaviour has consequences, and better outcomes depend on clarity, responsibility, and effective action.
From that experience, Paul developed STOP Fearing Fear® to address a problem he saw repeatedly across different environments: capable people struggling not simply because life is hard, but because fear is often misunderstood, behaviour is poorly explained, and resilience is too rarely taught as a practical skill.
The work is professional, but it is not impersonal. Paul’s interest in fear, behaviour, and resilience is also rooted in lived experience, which is one reason the framework is built to be practical, direct, and grounded in real life rather than abstract theory alone.
Today, Paul brings this work into books, speaking, training, and direct support for individuals and organisations who want a clearer, more grounded approach to fear, pressure, behaviour, and resilience.
